The 90th Anniversary Celebrations held at the RPSL on Thursday 29th October were a great success, we have received nothing but positive comments from a wide range of attendees, on the day and after. There were 174 attendees present to view the Displays, which we believe is the largest number to attend such an event at the Royal for some considerable time. We were also able to attract 4 new members, (subject to their applications being approved) with a possible 3 hopefully joining when they return home. Which means that potentially we now have 200 members both Nationally and Internationally.
Mark Bailey organised the setting up of the displays and taking them down at the end of the day, ably assisted by Julian Tweed and Lubomir Spacek. They were a great team and worked well together.
Finally the meal in the evening at the Guildhall was a triumph. The quality of the food, the setting and bonhomie amongst the attendees put a smile on everyone’s faces. Claire and John Scott must also be mentioned for their time spent helping set up the event, without whom it wouldn’t have happened.
