| Our May ZOOM Display was held on 11th May 2026, and our Auctioneer & Council member Peter Webb showed pieces from his Falkland Islands collection entitled ” The Battle of Coronel 1914″. We had a number of overseas members log on and all those who who attended were given an extremely detailed account of the Battle. It was the precursor to the Battle of the Falkland Islands. Peter used images of all the ships involved as well as letters sent to and from the ships bearing rare handstamps from some crew members who never returned to their families; tragically 2 British Warships were sunk with all hands during the action.
