The ZOOM Display held on Monday 1st June 2026,was given by Prof. Juraj Kittler and 14 members took part. It was a fascinating and incisive illustrated talk on the subject of Courier Networks in Italy 1270-1600. Prof. Kittler has published a detailed book on the subject and recently spoke to the RPSL at Abchurch Lane in London on the subject. He also made mention of the launch of a new scheme, an attempt to catalogue all the early letters currently in private hands, on a website which he and a colleague are building. Collectors will be able to upload images of early letters in their collections to the website remotely, by following a simple set of instructions. The object being to fill gaps in the knowledge base by giving academics and other collectors access to good quality images of those early letters and the accompanying information on each. Contact secretary@postalhistory.org.uk if you would like more information. And as always the talk will be available to watch on our Facebook page if you were unable to see it on Monday.
