The Joint meeting held with the RPSL (North) at York on Thursday 16th July was hailed a great success by all who attended. We were treated to 30 displays across 6 sessions with ample time to look at each frame in detail. Ranging from Adrian Pearsons 17thc Franche Marks to Peter Webbs Indian Boer War POW Camps. There was something for everyone. Of particular note was our latest member Karen McShane’s display of Sunday Scallop Frees & Tony Walkers Heroism and Tragedy in WW1. Next year it is the turn of the Royal to organise the event at the Delta Hotel in York, as always to coincide with the York Racecourse stamp fair, and I am sure will be just as good as this year. So make it a date for your 2027 diaries.
