The Winner of the Inaugural PHS Medal at Boston 2026 has been announced

The winner of the inaugural PHS Medal at Boston 2026 was Eigil Trondsen. A very worthy winner.

He received a Large Gold / 97 points for his Postal History exhibit “Cunard Line: The Ships And The Transatlantic Mail 1840-1867, The Monopoly Years”. He was also a candidate for the Grand Prix International.

In 2008 he exhibited on the subject of the Cunard Line for the first time and has continued to improve his exhibit.

At Nordia 2011, his exhibit Cunard Line: The Ships and the Transatlantic Mail 1840 – 1867 received 92 points and a gold medal.

Also in 2011, at the APS Stampshow held in Columbus, Ohio, his exhibit was awarded a gold medal.

At Australia 2013, his exhibit Cunard Line: The Ships and the Transatlantic Mail 1840 – 1867 received 91 points and a gold medal.

And in May 2025, at EuroPhilEx 2025, his exhibit Cunard Line: The Ships and the Transatlantic Mail 1840–1867, the Monopoly Years was awarded 95 points and a large gold medal.
